When Microsoft unveiled their new branding, I was mildly impressed. It was simple, but too much like what they’d already done; not enough impact for my taste. This student’s spectacular 3-day rebranding project proves that you can take an already successful brand, keep simplicity, and still make an impact. If anything, this is full of great examples of how to mock up a rebrand.
These allow the icon to work under different umbrellas, while maintaining the overall identity.

We had so much fun and success with our first zine project that we decided to do it again, this time just a little differently. It’s going to be a collaborative zine! Everyone designs one spread (with our theme), we’ll put the book together (including a fancy letterpress cover) and supply everyone with a copy! It’s for AIGA members only, so make sure you renew your membeship if you need to. Now is the perfect opportunity. From now until February 20th it’s only $50 to join or renew membership!
