Process Reflection

10 Dec

Our class read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance this semester and one of the groups came up with an activity to clear the mind by focusing on something small and ornate {thumbprint} and to think only of their personal design process as a form of meditation.

The following are pictures of the prints and some details and quotes from some of the gems that captured my interest:

QUOTES:

“I think of dinosaurs. Maybe my fingerprint could be remembered like layers of sediment, tree rings, or bean dip”

“Just commit to an idea already.”

“I always design on a full stomach.”

“Design with dogs and always leave extra time for printing.”

“Oatmeal. Blueberries. Almonds.”
