Graffeine ’10: in review

29 Oct

The 2010 Graffeine challenge has come and passed, but it was a pleasant one. Ten participants designed promotional posters for a local band who, in turn, gave the opportunity for the participants to attend a concert at the Urban Lounge. Each student had 24 hours to design a promotional poster for the band The Future of the Ghost following an introduction to the band and an interview with their drummer, Cathy Foy.

The parameters included specified colors {yellow and/or blue}, sized 16.5″x21″ portrait, and the posters had to include the band name and the name of their upcoming album I Want to Put a Blessing in Your Heart. Other than keeping in mind what Cathy Foy told us of the band and being given some of their songs as inspiration, the project was open-ended.

Thanks to all who made this year’s Graffeine challenge a success!

I betting most of the people reading this blog probably already know “whose is whose.”
